AMEJA Announces 2025 Awards Call for Entries

Celebrating Excellence in Arab & Middle Eastern Journalism

Submissions are now open for the 2025 AMEJA Awards.

In a year marked by unprecedented challenges, these awards offer recognition, solidarity, and a financial boost for journalists who carry so much yet still produce best-in-class reporting.

This year’s AMEJA Awards celebrate the exceptional courage, creativity, and commitment of journalists of Middle Eastern, North African, and West Asian descent. At a time when press freedom is under threat around the world, these awards highlight the stories that matter most to our community and the journalists behind them.

While each category welcomes a broad range of submissions, the AMEJA Awards are especially committed to uplifting work that highlights Arab, Middle Eastern, North African, and West Asian communities and perspectives in North America. Entries should reflect thoughtful, nuanced storytelling that deepens understanding of these communities and their lived experiences.
